How NFD prices are moving
The price calculation is the core of the mission and encompasses all the values we have calculated previously.
Step by step guide
Step 1
Calculate percentage deviation: the deviation is given by the current price in dollars minus the starting price in dollars divided by the starting price. This is then multiplied by the price variation multiplier present in the mission and subsequently by the direction (which can be 1 or -1). To this percentage deviation, an additional bonus (also expressed as a percentage) is applied.
Step 2
Calculate bonus and total percentage deviation: for the bonus, we take the previously calculated value at the beginning of the mission and add the bonus due to the type of template we are examining. The bonus value to be added will be the neutral one plus the one for the specific type.
At this point, we can adjust the overall deviation percentage, which will be the one calculated in step 1 multiplied by the percentage value calculated above.
Step 3
Are we within the parameters, or do we need to adjust? If the deviation is negative (remember that this already includes the direction +1 or -1) and the max drawdown value is less than 0, then we check if it has been exceeded. If so, we insert the maximum deviation value. The same applies in the opposite case. If the deviation is positive and the max drawup value is greater than 0, then we check if it has been exceeded. If so, we insert the maximum deviation value.
Step 4
Calculate the base. The price of the specific NFT is therefore given by the starting price (calculated at the beginning of the mission) plus the deviation percentage. It's important to note that if the price were negative following the application of the percentage deviation, then we are talking about a maximum drawdown of -100%. In this case, the price cannot drop below 0 and is forced to 0, and the percentage to -100 (with the calculations above, it may happen that the percentage value goes lower than -100%).
At this point, we have the price of that template in MD common. To calculate the value applying different weight and rarity, we multiply the base price by the rarity value and the bonus gain. The rarity value is understood as follows: if MD --> 1, if GR --> 10, if OZ --> 290, and if KG --> 1000.
